Baxter Denney joins Red Points as CMO following search by Renovata
Founded in 2011 in Barcelona, Red Points is the all-in-one SaaS solution for detecting and enforcing online IP infringements. Following an in-depth executive search by Renovata, the company is delighted to announce the appointment of award-winning growth marketing leader, Baxter Denney, as CMO.
Red Points was designed to reduce the cost of handling copyright infringements. In 2014, Laura Urquizu joined as CEO and transformed the business strategy, relaunching it as a SaaS all-in-one automated solution to detect, document, validate, enforce and report online infringements and counterfeiting. The company’s proprietary software currently removes more than 200,000 incidents of illegal products and content from the web every month for brands and media companies; with an efficiency rate of 96%, achieving an annual growth rate of 350% in 2017. The company has taken three rounds of funding totalling $26.2M; most recently an additional $12M Series B in May 2018 from Eight Roads Ventures to top up $12M provided in January by Mangrove and Northzone.

For the past five years, Baxter has held senior marketing roles at SaaS digital and cloud performance platform, New Relic Inc.; including VP Growth Marketing and Head of Marketing, EMEA. In that time, New Relic grew from a private, SME-focused startup to a NYSE-listed global enterprise with over 17,000 paying customers and annual revenue exceeding $450M. Prior to New Relic, Baxter held senior digital marketing roles at Citrix and Couchbase, in both cases leading marketing operations and demand generation teams across multiple channels including content development, SEO, SEM, and partner/channel marketing. Baxter and his teams have been awarded various honours including Best-in-Class B2B Email Program, Most Innovative Marketing Campaign and Demand Creation Measurement Program of the Year from MarketingSherpa, Marketo, and SiriusDecisons respectively. Baxter was also nominated for Marketo’s Marketing Executive of the Year award in 2015.
Reporting to CEO, Laura Urquizu, Baxter will build on Red Points’ reputation for market-leading innovation to drive the growth opportunity. He will develop and broaden both the client base and the company’s reputation and positioning in the market.
