Kristof Roemer takes Guestline Germany MD role after search by Renovata
Based in Shrewsbury, England, Guestline is the end-to-end marketing and management solution for the hospitality industry. In the latest of a number of successful executive searches by Renovata, the company has appointed Kristof Roemer as MD, Germany/DACH region.
Founded in 1991, Guestline found its form when it pivoted to a fully cloud/SaaS model, experiencing over 25% compound growth across the last 5 years. This attracted investment from Private Equity firm, the Riverside Company, in March 2016. Guestline is the operations technology supplier of choice for independent hotels, but has also branched out into serviced apartments, pubs and student accommodation – plus the business now gains significant revenue from larger hotel groups too.
Kristof has over 20 years’ experience in top-flight hospitality sales, with multiple Sales Manager roles in some of the world’s most established hotel groups. Starting at IHG (Director, Sales & Marketing, Holiday Inn, Munich) he led a team that grew revenues by 15% in two years. By 2007 he was Director of Marketing & Pricing for Westbridge, optimising sales and managing the digital transformation of hotel sales for 27 European venues. In 2009 he joined TrustYou as the first man on the ground and built a sales team of 14 from scratch, ultimately taking the role of EVP EMEA. At TrustYou, he presided over dramatic growth in team and turnover – plus a successful acquisition. He joins Guestline from Sabre Corporation, where he served as Sales Director, Central Europe.
Reporting to CEO Andrew McGregor, Kristof will take responsibility for all revenue and P&L, the Guestline brand, key partnerships and any acquisitions in Germany and the DACH region; and for developing and implementing a high-growth strategy for the business across the German speaking regions.
Guestline is Europe’s leader in software innovation to support the hotel sector. Employing over 100 staff in the UK and Europe, Guestline gives clients the tools, experience and infrastructure they need to constantly improve hotel business processes for increased profitability and efficiency.
The company is one of London Stock Exchange Group’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain, a celebration of the UK’s fastest-growing and most dynamic SMEs.
