Renovata continues to build out Market Logic Sales Team
Renovata is delighted to announce the addition of another talented leader to the Market Logic senior sales team. Following Kevin McShane’s appointment as Chief Sales Officer, based in Chicago; we have concluded a further successful search with the appointment of Nick Sharp as SVP Sales, EMEA and APAC, based in London.
Data-driven insight is essential to effective marketing, but many companies in this space focus on large amounts of structured, granular data (e.g. web page histories). Market Logic, instead, makes sense of natural language sources: market research and social media, for example. The company uses the latest cognitive computing to analyse sentiment and opinion, from which actionable marketing insights can be derived – and then makes sure it is in front of the people who need it to make better decisions. The business has received backing of $52m in four rounds from bmp Ventures, GENUI Partners, Summit Partners and Sycamore Partners.
Nick has run technology sales organisations since the early 1990s, with a particular focus on delivering convincing results to drive businesses towards a trade sale. He served as Group Sales Director for Tricom Communications plc (sold to Dimension Data), EMEA Sales Director for InfoLibria inc. (sold to Certeon), and Sales Manager for Riversoft (sold to IBM). He then spent 14 years as VP and General Manager, EMEA and APAC for Webtrends Inc., where he took responsibility for sales growth in all non-US territories for the digital marketing and measurement giant.
Reporting directly to Kay Iverson, CEO or Market Logic, Nick will own Market Logic’s European and Asian sales organizations to ensure the company achieves its ambitious sales expansion goals. He will manage the development of the local sales teams and their incentivisation for delivery of both traditional and SaaS business models.
Thomas Jepsen of Renovata comments, “Market Logic continues to outperform expectations and richly deserves its awards and accolades. The company’s success is partly down to the quality of its sales team, and we are delighted to continue our relationship with the business, bringing world class sales talent on board to continue its dramatic growth. Nick has an exceptional track record in building sales organisations towards profitability and maturity; and he will be an exceptional asset for Market Logic moving forward”.
