Renovata adds Anne Lucas to the team

Renovata is delighted to announce the appointment of Anne Lucas as a Consultant in the London office. Anne has worked in recruitment for 18 years, consistently tackling the most complex executive search assignments – to the extent that one consultancy dubbed her – gratefully – “The Nutcracker”, for her ability to handle the most challenging recruitment puzzles.

The start of her recruitment career coincided with the dotcom bubble, and Anne says “We were doing the reverse of what we do now. In those days we took people from traditional businesses and placed them in ‘high risk’ internet businesses. Now we’re finding the best talent from fast-moving digital businesses to solve digital transformation in consumer and FMCG contexts. I’m excited about digital, and excited to be part of the disruption again.”

Anne has worked in executive search, research and talent management exclusively at the highest level, mainly for FTSE50 companies and their global equivalents. “At that level, the search process is the same”, she says, “but clients rightly expect greater dedication, quality and attention to detail. Particularly with CEOs and Chairs, you can’t just be on top of the candidate pool, you also have to be incredibly well-versed in the industry and the competitive landscape. You will have pored through the annual report, analysed it and seen where the opportunities are for development and what a CEO from a different industry or competitor might bring. There’s huge scrutiny on detail, quality and process, and that’s very much at the core of the Renovata methodology too”.

Anne joins Renovata following an interim engagement recruiting Senior Director and VP level talent at Pepsi. “The ESSA region (Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa) is diverse – it includes everything from Ireland to Russia to South Africa and I recruited for all functions from marketing to supply chain; it’s just the sort of challenging and analytical environment I like to work with”, Anne says. “But I decided it was time for a permanent role. I wanted a firm that’s got technology at its heart – not technology as a satellite conversation, not technology as a vertical, but technology as a conversation on a daily basis. And that limited me to very few firms. I also wanted to work with great people with high integrity and for a firm with an international dimension – and that really meant it had to be Renovata”.
