Renovata welcomes new Partner, marketing specialist Kate Harrison
Renovata is delighted to announce the appointment of Kate Harrison, who joins the London office as a Partner.
After graduating with a First Class Honours BA in Business from Nottingham Business School, Kate spent the first half of her career in top-ranked global advertising agencies. She progressed to Executive Board level at Leo Burnett London, running a 75-strong client service department for clients like P&G, Mars and Fiat, and claims shared credits for the world’s first mainstream TV commercial to be shot on a mobile phone.
Kate says that the privilege of being an influencer in the recruitment, development and retention of top talent in her own organisation is what led her into executive search. She became a Partner in The Talent Business, a global search firm specialising in leaders for creative businesses, and spent a decade resourcing leading brand owners and agencies.
“As technology drives transformation across the marketing and communications landscape, I am looking forward to working with a team of search experts across all C Suite functions in progressive and digital companies”, says Kate. “Richer data and new ways of engaging with consumers have created a proliferation of new Martech businesses. At the same time, high growth innovators need brand talent to allow them to shine in an increasingly complex and multi-channel market. For Renovata, it is an exciting time to operate in this sector.”
Mannie Gill, Partner, says, “Over the past 15 years we have worked with some of the most successful consumer and B2B growth companies in both Europe and the US, companies such as Skype, King, Criteo, Jet, Spotify and Dropbox. Ten years ago there was a shortage of performance marketing expertise required to grow these businesses. More recently, we see a new challenge: the need to blend performance marketing expertise with traditional brand building skills. This has made CMO searches much more nuanced and sophisticated to execute. Our clients need to broaden the aperture of their search lens to include, depending on the specific nature of the business model, candidates from agencies, progressive brands and digital companies. Kate’s background, knowledge and understanding of the agency world, progressive consumer brands and digital companies will enhance Renovata ability to serve our clients in this space.”
Thomas Jepsen, Partner, adds, “As someone who has worked at the top of the media industry, Kate brings us both perspectives: the ability to engage with marketing talent and the ability to identify management talent for Martech/Adtech ventures. Her track record is impeccable and I am delighted she is joining our London team.”
