Taylor West joins zeotap as SVP, Sales, North America
zeotap is a Berlin-headquartered Big Data platform which delivers telco-sourced data assets to the digital advertising market. The company has appointed Taylor West to the position of SVP, Sales, North America; after a successful executive search conducted by Renovata.
Founded in 2014 and focusing on the mobile marketing experience, zeotap aims to offer data owners (primarily telecoms companies) a secure-by-design environment to monetise their deep data assets, whilst offering data users a one-stop-shop for high-quality, diversified and actionable data from a single trusted source – and therefore without the pain of endless integrations. The business has taken $21.3m funding in three rounds, most recently a $13.66m Series B in January 2017 from Here, New Science Ventures and Series A backers Capnamic Ventures and Iris Capital.
Taylor cut his teeth in media sales as the industry became digital-first, starting his career with Specific Media and rapidly moving to CBS Television Studios as National Advertising Sales Manager, where he ran the digital advertising for 39 TV stations. Following a stint in digital sales for Beats, in 2009 Taylor began to focus exclusively on the Adtech/Martech segment. During three years as Regional Sales Director for ValueClick Media, he became an expert in personalized digital marketing (ValueClick’s clients include two-thirds of the Internet Retailer Top 100). Roles followed with the Adconion Direct platform (now Amobee), which provides full-service data-driven multi-channel digital advertising solutions for agencies, brands and publishers; culminating in SVP, Sales, East Coast & Canada.
Taylor will be based out of New York. Reporting to CEO Daniel Heer, he will own zeotap’s growth goals in the US market, developing a go-to-market strategy to achieve a US client portfolio based on strong and sustainable agency relationships. He will also oversee the growth of zeotap’s data revenue and develop the value proposition in key verticals (mobile, IoT, financial services etc.).
With a slew of awards (i-com Global Mobile Awards, 2016; Unilever Foundry50, 2016), zeotap is a data platform that makes large-scale, deterministic data assets easily accessible to digital marketers and other industries for better decision making.
